Port Extension Geotechnical Site Investigation Italy, Europe
Geoquip Marine completed an interim geotechnical site investigation within the port entrances of Genoa, Italy. The objective of this project was to aid in determining the technical and economic feasibility of constructing a new breakwater. Geoquip Marine’s geotechnical site investigation vessel, the Geoquip Saentis, recovered high-quality undisturbed samples and recorded reliable PCPT data along the proposed footprint of the breakwater. The integration of offshore and onshore laboratory test results with processed PCPT data will enable the derivation of engineering parameters and depth of rockhead for planning and design purposes.
