Global offshore geotechnical data acquisition, analysis and reporting specialist Geoquip Marine will be attending the annual Global Offshore Wind Summit Taiwan (GOWST), which will be taking place from 17-18 October 2022 at the Le Méridien Taipei skyscraper hotel in Taiwan’s capital.

Organised by the Global Offshore Wind Council (GOWC), this hybrid event – which will support both in-person networking opportunities and virtual activities – will focus on the further development of the wind sector in the region through strengthened policy frameworks and emerging engineering innovations. By bringing together specialists and developers in one venue, the GOWC hopes to work towards Taiwan’s renewable energy targets and a greener economy.

This two-day event will feature speakers from across the Taiwanese offshore wind sector, including Yu Cheng-wei (Director General, Bureau of Energy, MOEA), Mark Hutchinson (Head of Asia, GWEC), Niels Steenberg (Chairman and Managing Director of Siemens Gamesa for Asia Pacific) and many more. Attendees will also be able to take part in networking opportunities and breakout sessions.

Taiwan remains one of the most ambitious emerging markets for the development of renewable energy. Geoquip Marine’s track record of successfully completed offshore geotechnical site investigations in the region supports its position as a specialist in Taiwanese offshore wind.

Ian Hodder, Co-Head Sales and Business Development at Geoquip Marine, will be in attendance on both days, and will be available to meet in person before, during and after the summit.
