Geoquip Marine completed a large geotechnical campaign for a major US offshore wind farm developer off the coast of Massachusetts, USA.
The Dina Polaris was mobilised from the Middle East for this campaign which consisted of seabed and downhole cone penetration testing (for seismic testing) and downhole sampling equipment. Over a period of 81 days Geoquip Marine completed over 2500m of deep seabed cone penetration testing and in excess of 2000m of downhole testing with only 6 days downtime due to weather.
All operations were completed in line with the wind farm developer’s expectations and without safety incidences or environmental damage.
